Specialists anticipate GDP collapse of 8.16% in 2020: Banxico Survey

The Mexican economy will register a 8.16% drop this year, according to the new GDP expectation that the monthly survey applied by Banco de México among 38 analysis and consulting groups from the private and foreign sector. This is the most negative forecast that this exercise has shown, which the central bank has been raising every month since 2001, and even exceeds the forecast for September 2009, when the analysts consulted estimated the GDP fall of 7.2% in the year of the Great Recession due to the world crisis.
